When Luka burst out laughing, Inri's mouth fell open. She gave him the one eyebrow before looking away in disbelief. The first shocking thing to her was the mere thought of him laughing. Inri had never heard him laugh for as long as she had known him. Though it just grew to the point where he was being incredibly offensive in Inri's mind.
She listened in utter awe as he started speaking, especially when he finished with "I'm much too beautiful to die this soon." She just stared at him blankly, reveling over his pigheadedness. Though she paid attention to one of his statements in her mind. "If I did, I would probably want to kill myself." Of course, that was probably the reason Inri decided to attempt suicide in her first year. Both Diem and Inri regretted the fact that it was only an attempt.
Inri couldn't believe it when he summoned yet another bag of chips. She wondered how even a relatively normal person could eat that many chips at this hour. "So what do you like to think about?" She looked back at him. "Lots of things," she answered vaguely.

Luka kept chewing. He knew he had bothered her by laughing and then making that narcissistic comment. He didn't particularly care. It was the way he was. Albeit, he admits he didn't know who he actually was. He knew nothing of his past besides a couple of years before Hogwarts and even then he didn't want to remember what he saw in his head. He ate some more chips. He didn't say anything else for a while thinking she would continue. When she didn't, he said "'Lots of things'? is that all I get? I'm trying to make conversation here, you know. Since you won't eat anything." He tried to say it in a way that would be gentle enough for her to tell him more. He wasn't one to care about other peoples issues. However, he seemed to have a soft spot for Inri. Unfortunately, it wasn't in his nature to be nice and caring, so it came out more annoyed and arrogant. He held back a wince at his own voice. He put more food in his mouth to try and seem less awkward.
