Summer time. The time of joy. Of excietment. Of nervousness. Richard strolled down the mainstreet of Hogsmeade, a rather strangely empty High Street. He was completly oblivious to the fact that the dark mark flew high above a residential part of the community. He had had enough of his parents. Had had enough of his father's abuse. Had had enough of the lies. And so he packed, threw everything into his trunk. He told his parents never to expect him back. And then he left, sticking his wand arm out over the curb beckoning forward the Knight Bus. There was only one thing he hadn't thought about. The fact that he had nowhere else to go. The fact that he had no place to call home. His trunk scraped along the cobblestones. At one point in time this trunk had been brand new. Not that you could tell now. The elegant black box with embedded golden RF's at each end shouted with pride his school house. It's corner's were frayed from his time at traveling down the streets and covered in mud from the times where he threw hid muddy Quidditch uniform upon it after a good match or practice. He heard footsteps from behind him, and only one name came to mind. "Inri?" His heart ached for her. He missed her so much He even missed the excitement of avoiding her little stalker of an Auror.

The dark mark was in the sky over residential Hogsmeade, but of course she hadn't been invited. Inri's curiosity got the better of her. She had no recollection of any plans in Hogsmeade, and knowing nothing of what could be happening she showed up to check it out. Before she could even get a good idea after pinpointing the location, she noticed a figure in the distance, walking along the otherwise empty streets. She would have just ignored this person and went along on her way, as any possibility of being recognized around an area where Morsmordre had been cast, regardless of whether she did it or not, could get her into some serious trouble.
But the figure was dragging behind them a black trunk, a black trunk which upon further inspection she could easily tell it was a Hogwarts trunk. As Inri got closer, she could recognize the glinting letters it had, "RF." Immediately her gait increased to a jog and then a sprint to catch up to him.
"Inri?" It had been seemingly forever since she had heard his voice last school year, she teared up ever so slightly when he said her name. And then she closed the gap. He hadn't even turned around yet and she had her arms around him. She stayed that way for a moment before pulling away to look at him. She had been so relieved to see him that she had forgotten where in fact they were. "Wait, what are you doing here?" He couldn't be here. Evidently by the dark mark being in the sky, there had to be either Voldemort himself or another death eater close by. She knew she had his acceptance but this side of her she didn't really want to put on display, as well as dreading the idea that their relationship could eventually get to his ears. She didn't want to put him in danger like that. "You can't be here right now, Richard."

Voldemort paced steadily down the street of Hogsmade, his footsteps barely auditable. At his side were the only two of his death eaters that had remained with him throughou the years. On one side walled Bellatrix, the other the werewolf Greyback. It had only been moments before that he raised his wand and brought the dark mark to form above the small village. He had been watching, waiting, and now, finally at last, the piece had fallen into place. A dark smile twinged at his lips as he saw the student with his trunk walking almost aimlessly down the street. He raised his hand, a signal to his servants, and stopped watching for only a few moments more.
Then a second figure joined him and his smile broadened. You can't be here right now, Richard She said. That voice he knew well. and only then did he speak. "Oh, but he is here now. He is here, and you are here, Inri." He outstretched his arms, gesturing to his death eaters. "And we are here. Just like we agreed."

Arms wrapped around his bruised body causing him to wince. The arms that he had craved all summer. The arms that he was growing more and more comfortable in each and every time they were wrapped around him. They were her arms. They were Inri's arms. When the pain subsided a bit he laughed, attempting to face her but being unable to do so. "I missed you too Inri, just be careful please... abusive father, remember?" Slowly he dropped his trunk, careful to avoid dropping it on her feet. Yes, Inri was a Death Eater. Yes, she had killed. But she too was a person. A person who's upbringing had taught her that the only way to change the world was to remain unattached to those that had spoiled it, and those that fought to protect them.
He felt her arms withdraw from around him and he turned around, a giant smile on his face as he took in the sight of his girlfriend since they had said goodbye on the train. Nothing had changed. She was still beautiful. And he pulled her close to him again, his arms around her waist, never wanting to let her go. "Wait, what are you doing here?" His facials were fought with confusion. Did she no longer love him? Was there someone else? Was she no longer glad to see him? "What am I doing here? What are you doing here? I ran away from home... and well stupidly hadn't been thinking after I made the decision."
He leaned in then and planted a kiss on her cheek. It wasn't the sort of kiss he had imagined for their reunion, but it was the best he could do at the moment. "You can't be here right now, Richard." More confusion crossed his face and then he caught the dark mark out of the corner of his eye and his hand darted instantly to the handle of his redwood wand. "Oh, but he is here now. He is here, and you are here, Inri." He attempted to slide the wand out of his beltloop, hoping none of the three new comers would notice the movement. "And we are here. Just like we agreed." Voldemort's words rolled around in his head.
She had known that the Hittler of the Wizarding World. She could have warned him that he would be here. Warned him several days ahead or even this morning. Warned him not to do anything stupid like he had done. His eyes flickered to the snakeman's companions. One was a raven haired woman who looked rather crazy. The other a rather rat faced man. "Who are the Death Eaters he has with him? The crazy woman and rat face?" His voice was nothing but a whisper in Inri's ear.

"I missed you too Inri, just be careful please... abusive father, remember?" Inri let up her grip and smiled apologetically. "Right, sorry." She gave him a concerned look once he turned around and his face was in view. It really had been too long since the last time she saw that face. Way, way too long. She had almost forgotten about the dark mark in the sky, all her focus being on him, the fact that he was here with her again. She didn't feel so alone any more. The air around her had felt so empty for the last two months, but that spot was finally filled again.
Inri sighed contently against him as he pulled her to him. But she felt him stiffen when she asked why he was here. She looked to his face, his expression had changed drastically. "What am I doing here? What are you doing here? I ran away from home... and well stupidly hadn't been thinking after I made the decision." She took a couple seconds to process his answer. Ran away from home? She knew a bit about the treatment he received from his father, but regardless, it was a... very reckless thing to be doing during these times. Where did he expect to go? Inri would surely take him in, but it was... a bit more complicated than that with the type of people she stayed with during the summer months. Speaking of that type of people...
"Oh, but he is here now. He is here, and you are here, Inri." She froze, not even bothering to turn around just yet. She could feel her head draining, all the color washing from her face. Oh. Fuck. The footsteps she heard had to belong to multiple people, so it wasn't just him. At that, she stepped to Richard's side, facing them but diligently avoiding eye contact. All she could think about at this point was Richard's safety. Flashbacks surfaced in Inri's brain of the last time The Dark Lord had heard of a romantic interest of Inri's who... wasn't exactly welcome. He had given orders to dispatch of him, and though she never did, she didn't let him find out about that. But surely Richard's identity being known to The Dark Lord and whoever other death eaters were with him was not at all ideal.
"And we are here. Just like we agreed." Inri looked up as he said that, to catch a glimpse of exactly who he meant by 'we'. As soon as she looked at the group, she looked right back at her feet with a sigh. This wasn't going to be a fun meetup. She felt Richard's movement next to her, his hand moving ever so slightly to grasp his wand. No. That wouldn't do any good. That's why Inri herself didn't listen to her instinct to pull out her wand. Fighting back would just be adding tinder to the fire. The Dark Lord wasn't one for mercy, but she knew, just like getting in trouble with the ministry, if you fight it, you'll probably have even more torment coming to you.
"Who are the Death Eaters he has with him? The crazy woman and rat face?" she heard Richard whisper and she turned her head just a centimeter in his direction. She hesitated as she sighed once more. "Bellatrix Lestrange... and Fenrir Greyback." Inri couldn't think of any other two death eaters that would be worse to have around while Richard was here. It couldn't have been any more perfect even if it was planned. [/blockquote][/size]
